Indiana Randonneurs is a small but mighty club that brings the sport of randonneuring to the state of Indiana.  The club is officially recognized by Randonneurs USA (RUSA) and it offers rides that are sanctioned by the Audax Club Parisienne (ACP).  In order to participate in Indiana Randonneurs rides, riders must be members of RUSA.

Indiana Randonneurs began offering rides in 2014 and has offered a full Super Randonneur sequence of rides, measuring 200, 300, 400 and 600 kilometers, since 2015.  Thus, randonneurs who do the rides we offer can qualify for Paris-Brest-Paris, which takes place every four years, and for other long-distance events.

While it is small, the club has long been home to a decorated and ambitious set of riders.  We have sent riders to Paris-Brest-Paris and to other internationally known events, such as London-Edinburgh London.  In 2024 alone, Thomas Southwood and Mark Rada have earned the coveted K-Hound award, which requires riding 10,000 kilometers in recognized rides in a single year, and Lydia Trott has received the Randonneur 10,000 award, which requires the completion of a challenging set of rides, totaling 10,000 kilometers over six years.  In that same year, Bryan Enyart earned the P-12 award, for completing at least one 100-K ride per month for a year, and the Rouleur award, for completing a series of rides between 100 and 200 kilometers in length. And Ron Selby completed his fifth consecutive year of monthly rides of 100K or more, amounting to a P-60.

While Indiana Randonneurs has a core group of experienced riders, we also aim to bring new riders into the sport.  For that reason, we also offer a series of shorter rides, beginning with our traditional season-opener of 100K, in honor of International Women’s Day.  And the anciens among us (that is, riders who have completed rides of 1200K or more) are always willing to offer advice and help on the road to new randonneurs.

So, whether you are a seasoned randonneur or randonneur-curious, come out and join us.  There may be some hills involved, but we promise some fun too!
